May the stars light your way and you may find the interior road forward!

Winter in Northern California
My Dear Friends,
As we begin the walk to the longest nights, which culminate on the Winter Solstice, we are offered an opportunity to go inward and reflect on the journey to the deepest parts of ourselves. These dark nights and short days can be a time of reflection and review, allowing questions to arise that are nestled so deeply within our heart and the quiet places of our being.
Where do you go to find time for reflection?
How do you touch and listen to these inner places?
Here are some suggestions to begin the inward journey to the Winter Solstice. Please join us December 21 at The Winter Solstice Sunrise Walk.
Write in your journal.
Find time each day to reflect on the impressions of each day. Even ordinary events and how they touched you can be important.
Paint impressions of what you feel inside.
Take your colored pencils, watercolors or whatever you have in your home, put on your favorite music and let forms and shapes begin to flow on the paper. This is not a contest. This is finding out what colors describe what you are feeling inside.
Write a song about THIS season.
Maybe your gifts are more in the form of songwriting. Take time these next weeks to find a quiet space to write. The song may even come while you are in your car or shower. When you have a chance, write them down. It will give you a reflection of your own inner journey.
Sit in meditation or prayer.
Find time, just even 5 minutes, to sit, breath and be still. This kind of practice can be so healing for calming the mind and restoring well-being.
I hope these suggestions of how to move into your own quiet time of reflection are useful as you walk through the longest nights of the year and the Winter Solstice.
You can sign up here for The Winter Solstice Sunrise Walk.
Looking forward to seeing you on the Winter Solstice Sunrise Walks.
Blessings,
Liza
