Autumnal Equinox Sunrise Walk: Join us on September 22 at Laguna de Santa Rosa. We meet promptly at 6:50 am.
Fall is a season for balancing light and dark, letting go, and accepting the impermanence of things.
As we approach this Equinox, I find myself becoming drawn to the old oak trees at the opening of the Laguna de Santa Rosa. The sun, as it rises, beams light through the branches of these old trees. I feel this is a good place to meet for these times.
In the book, “Finding the Mother Tree”, by Suzanne Simard talks about how certain trees, mother trees, provide nurturance for the smaller and younger trees. I have found these trees on the Laguna to be a nurturance and protection for me.
Let’s explore the wisdom of the great trees. I will lead you through a short ritual of the Flowering Tree Ceremony. This ritual I found from Rupert Sheldrake. I am so happy to share this with you.
JOIN US IN MUSIC OF NOTAN
I am thrilled to share that Jean Farmer and Robin O’Brien will be joining us to fill our hearts with song. Jean and Robin create songs for the soul, embracing the dance of opposites: created and void, body and spirit, knowing and unknowing. The Japanese use a single word for this interplay of dark and light…NOTAN.
Join us for our Autumnal Sunrise Walk at the Laguna de Santa Rosa September 22, 2021. We will begin our early morning walk just before dawn. We will park at the Chevron Gas station and walk to the two old oaks just inside the laguna. We meet promptly at 6:50 am.
Please fill out the form below and let us know that you will be joining us too.
